Personal Contributions

Our pledge to Big City Mountaineers is a big one! Between the two of us, we’re expected to raise $8000! The money you donate here goes directly to BCM and our pledge. Click the link below to make a personal contribution through our page on the Summit For Someone website. Donations are 100% secure, tax-deductible, and your money goes directly to helping inner-city kids!

Check or money order donations can also be made (though are not preferred by BCM) using the following directions:

1. All donation checke should be made payable to Big City Mountaineers.
2. In the memo line of the check, write: ‘SFS – Ryan Wichelns & Gabe Messercola’.

But we also need your help! Please keep in mind that your donations via the above link go directly to Summit For Someone. But we also need support to fund our goals on our end. Any money we receive from the online store and raffle tickets (below) will not only go to SFS and BCM, but a small percentage will also go towards funding the Traverse and our Rainier climb. It will be used for things like food for the trip, a small gas stipend for our support team, and airfare to and from Seattle (we’re estimating over $2000, making our total goal $10,000). Your money will not be used for any personal gear or for anything not strictly relating to the Traverse or Rainier, however, without your contributions in this manner, neither our Adirondack Traverse nor our climb of Rainier would be possible.

Raffle

Available in our online store and in person, you can also support us by purchasing raffle tickets, giving you a chance at hundreds of dollars worth of great prizes! Two tickets will be drawn at 6PM EST on Saturday, June 1, 2013 on our website!

• Extreme Sports Caravan, URI Fraternity Circle – 3 to 7PM, October 28 – Look for Ryan to learn about the cause, and help support! Raffle tickets will be on sale, plus anyone that buys one that Sunday will, additionally, have shot at one of two passes to Rock Spot Climbing!  
• Eastern Mountain Sports, Saratoga Springs – 3 to 7PM, October 6th – Buy two raffle tickets or donate $10 to Adirondack Traverse and get 25% off EMS brand and 20% everything else in the store!

Company Match Donations

Company match donations are accepted. It is the responsibility of each donor to submit completed company match forms to BCM along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope. BCM will mail signed qualified forms to your prospective company. For more information, email us at adirondacktraverse@gmail.com.
